Ingredients:
2 cups - all purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons - baking powder
1/2 teaspoon - salt
1 cup - Florida Crystals® Organic Cane Sugar
2/3 cup - shortening
2 - eggs
3/4 cup - milk
2 tablespoons - molasses
1 1/2 teaspoons - cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon - cloves
1/2 teaspoon - allspice
Florida Crystals® Organic Powdered Sugar

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 9-inch square baking pan.

In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. In large mixing bowl, combine sugar, shortening and eggs. Beat at high speed for 3 minutes or until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Divide batter in half. Mix remaining ingredients into half of batter.

Spoon batters alternately into prepared baking pan. Bake 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Sprinkle with Organic Powdered Sugar.

Makes 9 servings.
