Orange Frosted Gingerbread

Ingredients:
Gingerbread:
1 1/4 cups - firmly packed Florida Crystals® Organic Brown Sugar
1/2 cup - butter or margarine, softened
2 - eggs
1 cup - milk
1 teaspoon - vinegar
1/4 teaspoon - orange extract
2 cups - all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons - ground ginger
1 teaspoon - baking soda
1 teaspoon - grated orange peel
3/4 teaspoon - salt
3/4 teaspoon - cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon - nutmeg
Frosting:
1 1/2 cups - Florida Crystals® Organic Powdered Sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. - cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon - butter or margarine, softened
1/2 teaspoon - grated orange peel
1/4 teaspoon - orange extract

Preparation:
Heat oven to 350°F. Generously grease 9-inch square baking pan. Cream brown sugar and butter in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

Combine milk, vinegar and orange extract in small bowl. Combine remaining gingerbread ingredients in another small bowl. Add flour mixture and milk mixture alternately to sugar mixture; mixing well after each addition. Pour into pan.

Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan.

Mix all frosting ingredients in small bowl. Beat until desired spreading consistency. Frost.

Makes 8 servings.
