Ingredients


For the donuts

  • 2 1/3 cups All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Raw Cane Sugar
  • 2 ½ teaspoons Baking powder 
  • ½ teaspoon Salt 
  • 1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg, freshly ground
  • 1 ½ cups Buttermilk
  • 1 large Egg 
  • 4 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons Pure vanilla extract

For the glaze and topping

  • 2 cups Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Powdered Sugar
  • 4-5 tablespoons Milk 
  • ½ teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
  • Fresh fruits of choice for topping 
     

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray two 6-well donut pans with baking spray. Set aside.

Step 2

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Raw Cane Sugar , baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. In medium bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, oil, and vanilla. Combine the two mixtures and whisk together until smooth. Pour the mixture into a pipping bag. Pipe batter into each donut well. No batter should be leftover, distribute evenly into each well.

Step 3

Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and invert immediately onto a cooling rack. Cool completely.

Step 4

While the donuts are baking prepare the glaze by whisking all ingredients together until smooth. When the donuts are completely cooled down, glaze the donuts, decorate with fresh fruits. Serve immediately.
